Summer Shoe Trends 2016

A few things fashionistas love and can never have enough of is shoes and bags.   What is it with women and their shoes, who knows but we love them.

So today I’m sharing a few trends I’m spotting from the runways, from bloggers, from the red carpet, and from every day life that everyone is wearing.  These aren’t things that are “SO 2016” that if you shop them, you’ll be totally out of style in 2017.  These are fun and versatile looks that can be worn with jeans, (blue, black, or white), shorts, skirts, sundresses, and so much more.  Some, in fact, can take us even in to fall!  Let’s take a look and go shoe shopping!

Mother’s Day Shopping Guide

Spring Style: Off The Shoulder Tops

This spring one of the hottest looks is off the shoulder tops.  It’s one of those styles that has made a comeback from decades ago.

Worn casual or dressed up, it’s a look that can go anywhere.  Off the shoulder tops can come in solid fabrics, printed fabrics, with a sleek fit or a peasant look.

Spring Break Must Haves

As we just celebrated the new year, spring break is upon us.   How can it have come so fast?  It has and it’s here!  We’re starting to see swimsuits and beach hats and it’s time to begin switching gears for fun in the sun.

Pantone 2016: Rose Quartz Serenity

In case you haven’t figured it out by now, if you’ve noticed the lighter shades around you, Pantone’s color of the year for 2016 is this loveliness.

For the first time they selected 2 colors, rose quartz and serenity.

The psychology of the colors around us play a huge role in how we feel.  And these calm soothing colors I think are just we need for this place in time.

Store Spotlight: Charming Charlie

You’ve heard me share lovelies from Charming Charlie in a few shopping guides here, there.  But have you seen this new store that has joined the family of amazing stores at The Outlet Shoppes at Oklahoma City?  I wasn’t sure if you’ve made it out yourself, so I thought I’d be your tour guide for the day.

(Twist my arm!) What lady doesn’t love to find all her bling and clothes to go with it all in a one stop shop?  That’s what I feel Charming Charlie is.  It’s a boutique dripping with accessories, but has sprinkles of fabulous pieces of clothing to go with it.

You’ll find the most casual looks to cocktail attire.  Sweaters, wraps, blouses, to even evening party dresses.  And the accessories to go with them.

The biggest thing that stands out to me is that in it’s beautifully crisp clean white environment, the store is organized by color.  So you can find pinks in one section, blacks in another, reds in another area, everything is color coordinated.  So they’ve done the matching and accessorizing for you for whatever look you’re addressing, based upon color.  Isn’t that brilliant?  No more digging and hunting and searching.  You can easily find what you are needing and get right to shopping.
